Vignetta al frontespizio e antiporta, il tutto inciso in rame. Edizione originale in realtà opera di L. C. Volta, anche se porta il nome di Giovanni Bottani, che disegnò il ritratto di Giulio Romano nell'antiporta e dedicò il volumetto a Ferdinando Carlo d'Asburgo e Maria Beatrice d'Este che aveva commissionato l'opera (cfr DBIt).
