Libro d'Ore Torriani (Torriani Book of Hours) Francia, Chantilly, Bibliothèque du Château, Ms. 83.Riconosciuto come uno dei capolavori dell oreficeria rinascimentale lombarda, il Libro d Ore Torriani è uno dei pochi manoscritti dell epoca ad aver conservato la legatura originale:…i due piatti, in argento filigranato e dorato, sono arricchiti di cammei in avorio e madreperla, raffiguranti Santa Caterina e Santa Lucia circondate da cherubini. All interno dei piatti sono inseriti quattordici smalti dipinti, raffiguranti il Bacio di Giuda, l Andata al Calvario e dodici busti di Santi. E composto da trenta miniature: dodici illustrano il calendario e diciotto gli uffici della Vergine, di cui sei a piena pagina e dodici iniziali istoriate con architetture di fantasia da cui si dipartono racemi floreali recanti putti, uccelli e conigli. Il corredo illustrativo può essere ricondotto alla bottega milanese di Giovanni Ambrogio de Predis (che collaborò con Leonardo da Vinci alla Vergine delle Rocce). La decorazione dei margini si deve a Matteo da Milano. Un elegante cofanetto contiene, oltre al facsimile, il commentario curato da Pier Luigi Mulas. 288 pagine 6,1x8,2 cm. Edizione limitata di 980 esemplari. 3500g. Argento dorato, avorio, smalti e pietre dure. Giovanni Ambrogio de Predis Matteo da Milano (illustratore).
