Il nome dell'autore si evince dalla seconda edizione del poema stampata a Cremona nel 1628 in cui lo stampatore Giacinto Belpieri dichiara che l'Accademico Sconosciuto altri non è che il nobile veneziano Girolamo Priuli. Molto più ricercata questa prima edizione perchè con i rami, mentre la seconda di Cremona non è illustrata. Qualche brun. e in un paio di casi lieve abrasione alle illustrazioni.
