Brossura. Condizione: new. Lucca, 2015; br., pp. 176, ill. b/n.(Libri Come Pietre d'Angolo). La Resistenza in Garfagnana è stata negli ultimi anni studiata, cercando di capirne le dinamiche, le azioni e l'impatto che questa ha avuto sull'andamento del conflitto. Diverse centinaia furono i giovani che salirono "all'alpe" formando… piccole formazioni e bande partigiane. Libro.

Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. You already know what matters. You're just not living it.One day, something will stop you in your tracks. A diagnosis. A phone call. A silence that wasn't there before. And in that moment, with painful clarity, you'll understand what truly mattered - and how long you spent ignoring it.This…book is that moment. Before the crisis arrives.AWAKE is not another self-help book filled with morning routines and five-step formulas. It's a direct, unflinching conversation about the life you're building with every choice you make - and the one you're losing while you're not paying attention.Drawing on the Harvard Study of Adult Development (the longest study on happiness ever conducted), Viktor Frankl's radical insights from Auschwitz, Bronnie Ware's revelations from the bedsides of the dying, and the sharpest findings of modern psychology and neuroscience, Giuseppe Lazzarini weaves together philosophy, science, and deeply human storytelling into something rare: a book that doesn't tell you what to think. It wakes you up to what you already know. Why success leaves you empty - and what actually fills a life. Why you're busy all the time but never doing what matters. Why the people who love you feel far away even when they're right next to you. Why you keep waiting for the "right moment" that never comes. And what the dying wish they had known while they still had time. This is not a book you read and forget. It's a book that reads you - and asks the one question most people never ask until it's too late: Are you living the life you'll want to have lived? If the answer isn't a clear yes, start here. Start now.Because it's late. But not too late. Not yet. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. You built a life that looks right from the outside. So why does it feel like someone else's?Somewhere along the way - between the expectations of your parents, the roles you learned to perform, and the choices you made out of reasonableness instead of desire - you stopped listening to yours…elf. Not all at once. Quietly. Until one day the life you're living no longer sounds like you. This is not a book about reinventing yourself. It's about recovering the self that was there all along, underneath the noise. The talents you called hobbies. The desires you learned to be ashamed of. The voice you stopped hearing because the world got too loud.Across five movements, The Quiet Thread walks you from the life you drifted into back to the self you abandoned: The Drift - how you ended up living a life that isn't quite yoursThe Mask - the people and systems that told you who to beThe Dark - what you buried, and how your body still remembers itThe Clearing - recognizing the thread that was always running beneath the noiseThe Path Back - the slow, unspectacular way real change actually happensDrawing on philosophy, psychology, and the quiet honesty of lived experience, this is a guide for anyone standing midway through life with the sense that they took a wrong turn - and the suspicion that it isn't too late to turn back. You don't need to blow up your life. You don't need to start over. You need to find the thread again - and follow it home. For readers of Bronnie Ware, Susan Cain, and anyone who has ever asked: is this really the life I meant to live? The Quiet Thread is the third book in a trilogy on living awake, after AWAKE and 32 Seconds - but it stands completely on its own. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

Cartonato. Condizione: new. Edited by S. Carocci and Lazzarini I. English Text. Roma, 2018; hardback, pp. 426, ill., cm 16x24. (Viella Historical Research). This volume aims to investigate the complex theme of social mobility in medieval Italy both by comparing Italian research to contemporary international studies in various Eu…ropean contexts, and by analysing a broad range of themes and specific case studies. Medieval social mobility as a European phenomenon, in fact, still awaits a systematic analysis, and has seldom been investigated iuxta propria principia in social, political and economic history. The essays in the book deal with a number of crucial problems: how is social mobility investigated in European and Mediterranean contexts? How did classic mobility channels such as the Church, officialdom, trade, the law, the lordship or diplomacy contribute to shaping the many variables at play in late medieval societies, and to changing - and challenging - inequality? How did movements and changes in social spaces become visible, and what were their markers? What were the dynamics at the heart of the processes of social mobility in the many territorial contexts of the Italian peninsula. Libro.

Brossura. Condizione: new. A cura di A. Gamberini e Petralia G.Roma, 2008; br., pp. 560, cm 15x21.(I Libri di Viella. 71).
