Sammlungen der Votivkunst auf dem Jasna Góra in Czestochawa, Die Kapelle der…Muttergottes von Jasna Góra - "die Gemächer der Königin Polnischer Krone" , wie wir dem Panegyrikos aus dem siebzehnten Jahrhundert entnehmen können, hat ihre außer-gewöhnliche Geschichte. Wir können diese Geschichte auf zwei Ebenen erwägen. Die erste - materielle, architektonische, besteht aus zwei Perioden. Die erste ist mit deren Gründung zu den Zeiten der Regierung des letzten Herrschers von der Piastenddnastie Wladyslaw Opolczyk verbun-den, als die Kapelle aus Kalkstein, an der nördlichen Seite der Hallenkirche errichtet wurde. Hier versammelten sich ursprünglich zum Gebet die aus Ungarn angekommenen Mönche. Hier wurde auch das verehrte Gemälde der Muttergottes untergebracht. Der Priester Kan. Jan Dlugosz, unser Geschichtsschreiber, hat bereits im Jahre 1480 folgendes berichtet: "sie zeigen hier das Bild der rühmenswertesten und ehrwürdigsten Jungfrau und Frau sowie Königin der Welt und unserer Königin': Die zweite Periode grundsätzlicher Änderungen im Bereich des architektonischen Aussehens der Kapelle fällt auf die Zeiten der Jagellonen, um die Wende des 15. und 16. Jahrhunderts, als die Kapelle von Anfang an im gotischen Stil wiederaufgebaut wurde. Diese Kapelle wurde aus Backsteinen gebaut und ist das zweite Heiligtum des Gnadenbildes der Mutter-gottes, das sich bis heute im unversehrten Zustand erhalten hat, obwohl es im 17. Jahrhundert ausgebaut und verziert wurde. Sie ist ja die Zeugin der polnischen Geschichte. Auf diese Art und Weise gehen wir zur zweiten Bedeutung der Marienkapelle von Jasna Góra aber. "Per visibilia ad invisibilium" - durch das Sichtbare zum Unsichtbaren. Durch die sichtbare künstlerische Schönheit gelangen wir zur Schönheit der inneren geistigen Erlebnisse, zur Ruhe, zum Gebet und zum Anvertrauen der Muttergottes. Die Pilger gehen durch die Tore und Portale, um vor die Heilige Ikone zu gelangen. Hierher eilten auch Könige, Kanzler, Senatoren, Adligen und das einfache fromme polnische Volk.
