This edition of Percy Bysshe Shelley's The Sensitive Plant forms part of the Jarrold & Sons Miniature Classics series. Undated, however dated as having been published circa 1920 using other works in the series.Edited by George Goodchild, a prolific British writer, screenwriter, and director who authored more than two hundred published works.This Miniature Classics edition of the work very scarcely encountered.The Sensitive Plant is one of the later poems written by the English poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. Produced during a period of great suffering for the poet, it is a contemplative, dream-like work which describes a garden full of flowers in an allegory for one's place in the universe. Full bound in the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, generally smart with age toning and a few minor handling marks to the front board's paper label, in addition to rubbing, heaviest to the rear board. Slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities. Internally, central section of the binding strained. Pages are a trifle age toned however generally bright and clean, with just very mild spotting and a touch of browning at the fore edge. Very Good. book.
