Ein Rotary-Projekt im Kunsthaus Essen. / "Formen und Uniformen In der polnischen Sprache, aber auch tief in der polnischen Mentalität verwurzelt, existiert die Redewendung grauer Alltag". Der Sinn ist metaphorisch, es geht natürlich um die Routine, Armut und Langeweile des täglichen Lebens, aber schließlich begann man einzusehen, dass nicht nur das Leben grau ist, sondern auch die Sicht aus dem Fenster: Häuser, Straßen und sogar die Menschen sehen grau aus. Diese düstere Wirklichkeitskonstruktion hat sich mit großem Erfolg im vorherigen politischen System entfaltet. Es lässt sich nicht verleugnen, letztendlich hat sogar die staatliche Propaganda es aufgegeben, dass der Dreck und das Grau ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der polnischen Landschaft sind. Noch schlimmer, sogar die Zukunft kündigte sich nicht gerade rosafarben an. Unter den Tausenden von Menschen, die damals in den 80er Jahren Polen für immer verließen, und das nicht nur wegen anderer farblicher Präferenzen, befand sich auch die Familie des damals elfjährigen Slawomir Elsner" (Auszug aus d.
