Es, efectivamente, una obra hecha de múltiples versiones y con una tradición impresa plagada de variantes de autor(es), corrector(es) y cajistas. Estos últimos son responsables, como lo ha evidenciado José Luis Canet para la Comedia, de gran parte de las variantes menores que salpican la tradición impresa (se añade u omite alguna palabra o grupo de palabras por razones tipográficas).
