The first half of the 10th volume of the Catalogue contains the revision of those large parts of the Psaphidinae which have long been interpreted as members of the subfamily Acronictinae and Xyleninae (the subtribes Diphtherocomina and Nacnina, and certain newly discovered Psaphidinae genera). The second half is the second part of Toxocampinae (Erebidae), containing the Lygephila-Tathorhynchus and the Perinaenia-Isoura-Exophyla generic complexes, the sister-groups of the Autophila-Apopestes generic complex which has been treated in the 7th volume of the series. This volume includes altogether 13 genera, two of them (Vigentinocome and Discibocome) are newly established. Vigentinocome is divided into four subgenera, Vigentinocome, Chrysocome, Criocome and Bryochlorome). The volume is illustrated with 28 colour plates of high quality magnified photos displaying all taxa included and 20 colour plates showing the variation of each taxon in natural size. Aggiungi al carrelloThe first part of the book is the direct continuation of the volume 3, discussing the genus Shargacucullia. The authors had more than thirty years of expertise on this group but it was even so a great challenge to summarise the taxonomic knowledge on the entire genus, more than a century after the Catalogue of Hampson, the first and only monograph of this very fascinating, beautiful but often prettily difficult phylogenetic unit. The second part of the volume is a monographic treatment of the Palaearctic and Oriental genera and species of the subfamily Psaphidinae (sensu Fibiger & Hacker 2005, Fibiger & Lafontaine 2005). In this part we propose solutions for certain evergreen taxonomic problems concerning with the genera Brachionycha, Xylocampa, Lamprosticta, Asteroscopus and Valeria. New taxa: Shargacucullia (Brevicucullia) n. subgen., Shargacucullia (Prenanthcucullia) prenanthis mosaica n. ssp., Shargacucullia (Prenanthcucullia) szeokekalmani n. sp., Shargacucullia (Falcicucullia) n. subgen., Shargacucullia (Stigmatocucullia) n. subgen., Shargacucullia (Stigmatocucullia) expansa n. sp., Shargacucullia (Stigmatocucullia) maria n. sp., Shargacucullia (Verbascullia) n. subgen., Shargacucullia (Verbascullia) verbasci posterobscura n. ssp., Shargacucullia (Verbascullia) verbasci orientalis n. ssp., Shargacucullia (Shargacucullia) thapsiphaga belaherczigi n. ssp., Shargacucullia (Shargacucullia) kurthuberi n. sp., Shargacucullia (Shargacucullia) nekrasovi n. sp., Shargacucullia (Shargacucullia) asgharshirvanii n. sp., Shargacucullia (Shargacucullia) asadvartiani n. sp., Shargacucullia (Shargacucullia) lychnitis mysteriosa n. ssp., Brachionycha nubeculosa kullbergi n. ssp., Asteroscopus syriaca wieseri n. ssp., Ostheldera pakistana n. sp., Flexivaleria n. gen., Meganephria (Paranephria) n. subgen., Meganephria (Paranephria) varatlanka n. sp., Belosticta (Debilisticta) n. subgen., Belosticta (Funesticta) n. subgen., Belosticta (Splendisticta) n. subgen., Allophyes (Boursinyes) n. subgen., Allophyes (Ohshimyes) n. subgen., Allophyes (Ohshimyes) alces n. sp., Allophyes (Allophyes) asiatica gilanica n. ssp., Allophyes (Allophyes) asiatica kadyrbekovi n. ssp., Allophyes (Crassophyes) n. subgen., Speidelia taiwana sinica n. ssp., Speidelia siamica n. sp. The volume contains 117 text pages with full synonymy and effective diagnoses of 129 taxa included, with the description of 2 new species and 3 new subspecies in this popular and for a long time intensively studied group. The Witt Catalogue, Volume 9 is illustrated 33 colour plates of high quality magnified photos displaying all taxa included and with 19 colour plates showing the variation of each taxon in natural size. The genitalia of all species and subspecies are figured on 129 black and white plates. Aggiungi al carrelloThe eleventh volume in this series on nocturnal moths, Noctuinae III: Poliina, contains 102 text pages with the latest taxonomic information, full synonymy and effective diagnoses of all known Palaearctic and Oriental taxa, with the descriptions of 10 new species and 4 new subspecies, and numerous taxonomic and nomenclatural changes. The volume is illustrated with 30 colour plates of high quality magnified photos displaying all taxa included and 25 colour plates showing the variation of each taxon in natural size. The genitalia of all species and subspecies are shown in 114 black and white plates. The 11th volume treats the first large clade of the hadenine branch of the Noctuidae s. str., the subtribe Poliina. The first chapter introduces the phylogeny and supraspecific taxonomy of the hadenines, this part is followed by the general distribution of the widespread Holarctic subtribe. The taxonomic part of the book includes altogether five, taxonomically rather difficult genera, all but one are rather diverse and consists closely related and often hardly identifiable species complexes. Four of the five genera of the subtribe (Tricheurois, Haderonia, Ctenoceratoda, and Pachetra) are considered as taxonomically homogeneous, their main lineages are treated in the book as species-groups, while the best-known member of the tribe, Polia, is split into four distinct subgenera, Metallopolia, Atropolia, Leuconephropolia, Protopolia and Polia (s. str.). New taxa: Tricheurois landryi n. sp., Tricheurois contrusa n. sp., Tricheurois inexpecta n. sp., Haderonia albiocellina n. sp., Haderonia subgrisea n. sp., Haderonia allasiestrina n. sp., Haderonia lasiofallax n. sp., Ctenoceratoda hamishgandhara n. sp., Pachetra sagittigera striatella n. ssp., Pachetra sagittigera minigera n. ssp., Polia (Metallopolia) kisculta n. sp., Polia (Polia) subcontigua annapurna n. ssp., Polia (Polia) gigantea n. sp., Polia (Polia) gigantea continentalis n. ssp.
