Attractive cross bad=nded gilt decorated spine in maroon, maroon hinges & corners, pink boards much stained with water-marks & a couple of black spots. Light rubbing to spine-ends, some rubbing to corners. Looks very attractive on shelf - may have been rebound in long past. Page-edges are rough-cut & age darkened, bottom edges of pages are cut a little short in manufacture. Attractive pink marbled end-papers, brown blotching to free end-papers. preface to origianl edition dated 1847. Very attractive plates. A nice old book despite faults.
