Hard Cover. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. Reprint. Nonsense verse and illustrations from 'Father Goose: His Book', with new music by Hall. Undated reprint, circa 1920-1930. Hardcover, recently rebacked with tan cloth; covers chipped & stained, endsheets foxed, lengthy pencil note by bibliographer P[hilip] C. B[lackburn] explaining his belief that the book is a reprint because its pictures are poorly reproduced in b/w and rumors existed of copies with color plates (the illustrations in Father Goose WERE in color, but the George Hill first edition of this musical version (1900) seems to have had only b/w as well) Size: 8¾" by 11¼". Wm. W. Denslow (illustratore).

Edgewear including a few large but mostly closed tears with all of the content present and easily legible, owner blind stamp on the bottom margin throughout, and a dampstain to the top margin throughout, a complete but good only copy with the illustrations remaining quite bright given its age and the quality of the paper. For voice and piano. The back cover illustration shows the goose in a clown costume alongside the lyrics to the second verse. L. Frank Baum is celebrated for creating the *Oz* books which inspired the classic film *The Wizard of Oz*, here he presents us with a charming song about a goose who wants to be a clown. *OCLC* locates only three holdings and it appears to be equally scarce in the trade.
