This issue is filled with short stories, poetry, and essays. Of special interest is Adolphe de Castro's 17-page essay, AMBROSE BIERCE AS HE REALLY WAS, AN INTIMATE ACCOUNT OF HIS LIFE AND DEATH. Adolphe de Castro met Bierce in 1886, became his protà gà , and "wrote" a novella in collaboration with him. The article published here is the basis for the controversial explanation of Bierce's 1913 disappearance into revolution-torn Mexico. (de Castro claimed that Bierce had been shot by soldiers under orders from Pancho Villa).
