Softcover. Original. Red wraps with black lettering. 201 pp. with no illus. Text in German. Vol. 13 from the series Miscellanea Byzantina Monacensia, edited by Hans-Georg Beck. Among other things, a catalogue of 23 works of portrait sculpture (busts) from the 5th century B.C. Two preliminary chapters are centered on a study of a type of portraits established during the time of Theodose I and the prolongation of the "Theodosian tradition" of busts sculpted until the middle of the 5th century. Good. Clean and tight but with light general shelf wear, half title detaching at bottom, and name/date of former owner (professor of classical art) on half title.
