Hansen und Neumann haben daher eine echte Kraftanstrengung unternommen, um den umfangreichen Stoff für Studenten zu systematisieren und in zwei Bänden so aufzubereiten, dass ein zügiger Lernerfolg garantiert sein dürfte. Beide Bände sind direkt aufeinander bezogen, sprechen aber unterschiedliche Zielgruppen an. Richtete sich der erste Band noch an Einsteiger und auch Studenten der Wirtschaftswissenschaften, dürften von Band 2 vor allem IT-Fachkräfte aus Wirtschaft und Verwaltung profitieren sowie Hauptfachstudenten der Wirtschaftsinformatik. Für sie ist dieser Teil ein wirkliches Wissens-Update, das aktuelle Entwicklungen aufgenommen hat (so das komplett neue Kapitel zu Verteilten Systemen), aber der Band leistet auch als Nachschlagewerk gute Dienste. Die Großbereiche heißenZentraleinheiten, Datenträger/externe Speicher, Ein- und Ausgabegeräte, System- und Entwicklungssoftware, Datenstrukturen und -speicherung sowie Netzwerke. Der außerordentliche Erfolg des Lehrbuchs (fast 500.000 verkaufte Exemplare), das nun schon in der 9. Auflage vorliegt, überrascht nichtWenige Werke können gleichermaßen in Sachen Aktualität, Vollständigkeit und didaktischer Finesse punkten. Das vorliegende Buch führt in die betriebliche Informationsverarbeitung ein. Es vermittelt einen fundierten Überblick über die Arbeitsweise und das Zusammenspiel von Rechnern sowie die Gestaltung rechnergestützer Informationssysteme in der Wirtschaft. Der in diesem Buch vermittelte Stoff entspricht im wesentlichen den Inhalten, die an vielen Hochschulen im Rahmen der IT/IS-Einführungsveranstaltungen angeboten werden. Der Stoff, der in drei Teile gegliedert ist, besteht im wesentlichen aus Grundlagenwissen, einem anwendungsbezogenen Teil und schließlich der Betrachtung informationstechnischer Aspekte betrieblicher Informationssysteme. Für Studierende der Wirtschaftswissenschaften und Mitarbeiter in Fachabteilungen, Studierende der Informatik oder Wirtschaftsinformatik und Fachkräften in Wirtschaft und Verwaltung. Ich studiere im dritten Semester Wirtschaftsinformatik und war eigentlich ganz gut mit Büchern zum Thema Wirtschaftsinformatik ausgestattet. Doch nach einem Tipp von einem anderen Studenten bestellte ich mir beide Bände von "Wirtschaftsinformatik" von Hansen/Neumann. Und seitdem benötige ich die anderen Bücher nicht mehr. Bei Hansen/Neumann ist einfach alles beschrieben. Und zwar viel ausführlicher als in den anderen Büchern. Sei es Managementinformationssysteme oder Datensicherheit. Auch technische Grundlagen sind gerade im ersten Band super beschrieben. Kurz gesagtIch bin schwer begeistert. Auch die Lesbarkeit der Bücher ist hervorragend. Die Informationsdichte ist zwar recht hoch, allerdings sind zwischendurch immer wieder Beispiele (in einer kleineren Schriftart, damit der Textfluss nicht gestört wird) und Bezüge auf das Arbeitsbuch (das leider noch nicht in einer aktuellen Version vorliegt). Zudem sind Definitionen grau hervorgehoben, so dass sie sofort ins Auge springen. Eigentlich könnte ich die anderen Bücher über Wirtschaftsinformatik verkaufen. Denn für mein Studium reichen mir der Besitz der zwei Bände von Hansen/Neumann und das Informatik-Handbuch von Rechenberger, falls es mal doch technischer sein soll. Erwähnenswer.
