Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. First edition. Complete in 4 volumes published variously between 1873 and 1878. Ex-library with usual stampings, etc. Exteriors show lots of wear, rubbing, corners bumped, etc. Contents clean and tight for each volume. "Chronicles and Memorials of Great Britain and Ireland during the Middle Ages." (clx + 671pp.) + (xlvii + 749pp.) + (cliv + 689pp.) + (cclxi + 531pp). Volume I: Rear board almost completely detached and split from spine from top to bottom, other side of spine has tear at top. Front free endpaper almost loose. Volume II: Spine badly frayed and torn, residue on front cover of adhesive being removed at some point. Stain at top of gutter on front and rear endpapers and for a few pages in each direction. Text not effected. Volume III: Spine frayed at top, 1" tear running down where spine meets rear board. One front corner chipped. Volume IV: Very light fraying to top of spine. Photos on request.…
