No publication date (BL catalogue suggests 1838), 8vo, 204 pages, frontispiece plate, engraved title-page, 28 engraved plates with tissue guards, fair condition in worn 19th century half calf, front board detached, text in very good, clean condition, margins of plates darkened otherwise the plates and guards in good, clean condition.

Undated, circa mid 19th century as a gift inscription on the flyleaf is dated 1844. Interior is in very good condition; binding is a bit loose with reinforced inner hinges, moderate edge wear (more so on the spine ends), and moderate rub marks; small stains on inside of rear board. Book.

Originally published in 1838 under the title The History of London, illustrated with 30 plates. Holloway 69.

Plates as listed except that Frontispiece of vol.2 is not named but it is listed as "Hall of Mirrors" described at p107. The plates are fine full page engravings and are ex-pagination. 1 volume. Original gilt decorated red cloth, a.e.g., lower joint with a small tear otherwise very good.
