A survey explaining how vases were made, painted; their shapes and uses, and the subjects with which they are decorated. Ex-library, plates stamped in margins, interior contents and plates clean and fresh, extremity and joint wear. A firm, tight copy. Orig. illustrated salmon cloth decorated in black and blind. Very good.

Good - original binding, pink coloured cloth with embossed Art Nouveau design in black, colour frontispiece with tissue guard then 32 pages followed by 44 numbered plates with facing description pages. Two of the plates are across both pages and have loose tissue guard between them. Condition - some wear to the extremities (particularly the head and tail of the spine), corners bumped and rounded, Ex Libris plate on front paste down, previous owners name in pen on top right of the title page, title page also has a round bind embossed stamp in the lower right for "Yorkshire Archaeological Society Library", tanning to the ffep and rfep, some light foxing throughout otherwise contents clean, bright and tight. All pages and plates have been counted and are present and correct. As this item weighs over 1kg when packed additional postage will be required for delivery outside of the United Kingdom.
