Decorated cloth, VG. 270pp, b/w frontis, title vignette, 6 b/w plates, all edges gilt, spine sunned, otherwise the binding in a nice condition with the upper board showing a galleon under sail & the spine a man with a rifle ( somewhat out of keeping with the setting of the book ), gift inscription to the endpaper, booksellers ticket of J E Beale, Bournemouth on the pastedown. Maritime set fiction for boys & one of a handful of such tales penned by Paull. The novel is set in the late 1700s, on the south coast of England. 700 grams.

Couverture souple. Condizione: Assez bon. Préface du général de Lattre de Tassigny. La couverture est décollée du livre sur la tranche sur environ 5 cm. Elle présente par ailleurs quelques déchirures, notamment sur la tranche. Pour les envois à l'étranger, il est préférable de me consulter sur les frais de port avant d'acheter. En effet le tarif "livres et brochures", très économique, est supprimé depuis le 1er juillet 2025. Le montant des frais de port pour les envois à l'étranger est désormais beaucoup plus élevé. Par ailleurs les envois de marchandises aux Etats-Unis sont suspendusjusqu'à nouvel ordre par la poste française. Il est donc inutile actuellement de passer commande depuis ce pays.

[iv], 290pp. Anthology of verse on war by known poets and little-known or anonymous soldiers. Includes foreword and index; third edition, enlarged and revised. Bound in quarter red cloth with red boards and black titles to spine. Book is good to very good with light foxing to page edges, light wear to boards and to spine, with some fading in a couple of places. Dust jacket unclipped and in good condition with DJ spine heavily sunned, crease to front flap and some edge wear with a number of small tears (closed) and small losses to ends of spine corresponding with faded patches on book spine.
