This work was dated from similar copies held on JISC.This work contains fifty short stories with many different subjects and titles, including The Priest, The Origin of a Pen and The Bridge of Genoa. There are ten illustrated plates throughout this work, including a frontispiece portrait of Donna Maria. With an ink inscription dates 1914 to the front endpaper. In blue cloth binding with gilt motif to the front. Externally, generally smart, with slight bumping to the extremities. Slight rubbing, causing loss to cloth at the extremities. The occasional mark to boards. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Occasional mark to endpapers. Internally firmly bound.
