Original gray cloth publisher's covers with green spine and cover lettering; there is a bright pictorial pastedown of the castle on the front cover. The book is undated, but ther eis a previous owner's name on the front end paper dated 1910, so it was likely published at about that time. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings (except the aforementioned owner name & date). It is a very nice copy with one tip showing and a bit of dampstaining to the bottom edge of the cover at the spine and also to the spine, but it is not particularly noticeable. ; Beautiful England Series; Color Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 56 pages.

The book is in very good condition with minor shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover including minor bruising of the corners of the boards, the spine is lightly sunned, there is some light marking to the boards, "No 2" is written below the title to the front board. The binding is tight. There is light offsetting to the feps. Extensive details of ownership to the reverse of the title page and " Vol 2" written to the top of the list of plates in colour. There is very light foxing to the fore and bottom edges and the occasional spot of foxing scattered throughout. There is one short sideline, otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked.
