Jahrhundert. Zu seinem klassischen Werk hat Beale ab dem Jahr 1900 parallel die wichtigsten Rechtsfälle in der gleichen Ordnung ediert wie das Hauptwerk: Vol. I. Part I. & II. : Jurisdiction (law - over persons and things - courts) - Remedies (right of action - procedure) Vol. II. Part III: The Creation of Rights (personal rights - rights of prperty - inheritance - oblifations ex delicto - obligations ex contractu) Vol. III. The Recognition and enforcement of rights (personal relations - property - inheritance - the administration of estates _ judgments - obligations) - with a Summary of the Conflict of Laws. Josph Henry Beale (1861-1943) practised law in Boston before joining the faculty of the Harvard Law School in 1890, where he was latterly Carter Professor of General Jurisprudence, 1908-1912, and Royall Professor of Law, 1912-1937. He was author of many books, notably A Treatise on the Conflict of Law and reported on Conflict of Laws, for the American Law Institute Restatement.
