Hard Pictorial Boards. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. Circa 1904 or earlier; gift inscription on half title page to "Faith Handley from W.E. & C.E. Bowley(?) Xmas 1904". Unsure if there is a link to the co-illustrator, Sophia May Bowley. Pictorial boards are still very pretty though edge worn and scuffed; the illustration of Prisc…illa (from one of the tales) is shown on the cover. Decorative ivy end papers are good. Internally very good with light toning throughout, though the fabulous colour plates have largely escaped this. Frances Brundage and Sophia May Bowley (M. Bowley) (illustratore).
