Good only with a bookplate from the Taussic Memorial Library of The California School of Mechanical Arts (in San Francisco - currently a private high school). The only other library markings are fading white numbers at lower spine. With general soiling of boards, fraying at ends of spine, with more at the head end, also some edge wear at extremities; three corners are rubbed through. Binding remains solid. No dust jacket.

The jacket has chipping to the corners and creasing and tearing to the surface of the rear panel, a two inch square section of the rear flap missing, a half-inch piece missing from the bottom left corner of the rear panel, a little tearing to the right edge of the front panel, a one inch piece missing at the bottom of the spine and some tape repairs to the reverse. First printing.
