Titel sowie die letzten 10 Blätter mit fachmännischen Papierrestaurierungen in der unteren Außenecke. Vereinzelte Marginalien von alter Hand. Sonst gut erhalten. Seltene erste Ausgabe aus der Feder des Hamburger Arztes A. Heins (geb.1716), der in Leipzig Medizin studierte und dort 1743 promovierte. Sein vorliegendes Werk ist ganz auf die Praxis ausgerichtet und enthält nach längeren allgemeinen Abhandlungen, z.B. "Von Urin-treibenden Mitteln", "Von abführenden Mitteln", "Von Speichelbewegenden Mitteln", "Von Brustreinigen Mitteln" etc. sehr exakte Rezepturen und Formeln zu den jeweiligen Abschnitten. Bezüglich der Augenheilkunde finden sich Anwendungen gegen "die Flecken und Narben auf der Hornhaut" und eine diesbezüglich anzuwendende Salbe und ein Augenwasser. - Das ausführliche Vorwort von J. E. Hebenstreit, der vor allem auch durch seine Afrikaexpedition in den Jahren 1730-33 bekannt wurde, geht auf die Wirkung, Zubereitung und Mischung, sowie deren Ordnung ein. - Vgl.
