Die Architekten lösen in souveräner Art die komplexen Au…fgaben, die einer denkmalpflegerischen Erneuerung heute zu eigen sind: der optimale Erhalt der Substanz, das Aufdecken und Wiederherstellen der oft differenzierten, feinsinnigen Qualitäten des ursprünglichen Bauwerks, die vorsichtige statische Stabilisierung der Konstruktion und die behutsame, durch die Nutzung bedingte Erneuerungen einzelner Teilen im und am Gebäude. Das Originalbauwerk wurde nach einem Entwurf von Otto Dreyer einem der wichtigsten Luzerner Architekten seiner Zeit 1951 erstellt.
