"The Brazilian art project presents a new perspective of exhibitions. It is important to note that the didactic procedure often tends to play a role of almost reducing the living potential of the works, by submitting them to a 'simplified' or 'accessible' view. This overview of Brazilian art, which covers from Academicism to the present day in the form of illustrative panels and critical-conceptual texts for each work, offers to the spectator the most significant examples of Brazilian art, so that he, the spectator, will be able to stop at each module and observe the passages and developments of the language of art. Like a book, its modules are like chapters that a reader devours and absorbs. This is, therefore, a historical and rigorous reading that, fulfilling its program of progressive and wide itinerancy to the largest possible number of Brazilian cities, for a period of three consecutive years, will meet the demand for information on the subject, until today very lacking." (Introduction) Text in Portuguese. Some light foxing of wraps. Block with light age-toning along edges, not affecting images.…
