A little wear to the spine, the upper cover entirely detached, scattered foxing to early and late leaves, and to the margins of some inserted illustrations; offsetting at some plates, a clean very good copy otherwise. This copy…has been extra-illustrated with 60 additional plates, quite professionally executed, the original illustrations being bound in at the rear. The extra plates include many early engravings, several in colour, and several folding views. In a plain, brown cloth slipcase. A nicely Graingerized copy of this classic.
