Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 2nd Edition, Illustrated Edition. Book Condition, Very Good: An unread copy that remains in fantastic condition for its age. Faint marks across the cover of the hardcover boards, visible wear/rubbing along the edges of the binding, but in excellent shape overall, artwork and gilt lettering crisp… and clean. Now protected by a plastic slipcover. Dust-stained text block, but in great condition with good page edges. Tear to first page of front endpapers, also some foxing and marks, but otherwise pages are clean and tidy. All colour illustrations clean. Text block shaken though still sound structurally. A second edition hardback featuring six colour plates by Arthur Rackham, collectible as an uncommon early illustrated edition of Henry Harbour's adventure novel. Rackham's work from this period is highly regarded, and copies with complete colour illustrations are scarce in the marketplace, enhancing appeal to collectors of illustrated fiction and Golden Age book art. This illustrated adventure novel takes readers across Canada and beyond, combining energetic storytelling with vivid period detail characteristic of early twentieth-century fiction. Enhanced by six colour plates by Arthur Rackham, one of the foremost illustrators of his era, the narrative blends exploration, action, and evocative setting to capture the spirit of its time. A distinctive example of illustrated fiction from the golden age of book illustration, the volume offers both collectible charm and engaging reading. Arthur Rackham (illustratore).
