"Spehrs creative cosmos consists of drawings and installations, with the former being integrated into the latter. Spehr has antagonistic worlds collide both in his works on paper and his installations. For his scenes he chooses either interiors ranging from domestic settings through to simple "cells", "camps", or "tunnels" or the street as the venue for "nesting attempts" and "deviant behavior". His installations rarely move beyond the realm of allusion. They appear provisional, temprary. And so they are. The installations are set up anew for every new show, are modified to suit the respective site, and provided they are not to be sold acquire permanence only as photographic documents." - Permanent relocation: On Johannes Spehrs experimental arrangements - Stefanie Heraeus ISBN 9783936711646 Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 293.…
