Die Karte wurde beidseitig handschriftlich beschrieben und von Hermann Konnerth mit einer Skizze versehen. Die Karte wurde von ihm datiert und mit "H. Konnerth" signiert. Im Schreiben heißt es unter anderem: "Das Wetter ist schlecht, der frohe Mut aber groß und so werde ich das begonnene in frohem Gedenken Eurer und Eurer Tapferkeit zu gutem Ende führen."
