Daneben schrieb er zahlreiche chirurgische Arbeiten. - Rudolf Rt. von Vivenot jun., der älteste Sohn aus der ersten Ehe des weithin gerühmten Wiener Mediziners selben Namens (1807-84) mit Josefine Baronin Metzburg (1810-38) und Bruder des Historikers Alfred (1836-74) aus Rudolf sen. zweiter Ehe mit Antonie von Bergenthal (1820-46), zählt zu den Pionieren der "experimentell-physiologischen Richtung der Klimatologie" in Wien.
