Die ursprüngliche Ordnung im Lager, die sicherlich dem klassischen Kanon Natur antike Skulptur Kunst Maschine folgte, wurde im Laufe der Zeit anscheinend nicht immer eingehalten: Sammlungsstücke wurden einfach ab-oder assoziativ eingestellt, sodass sich manchmal wunderliche Nachbarschaften ergeben. Dieses Buch folgt einem Parcours durch dieses fiktive Lager, das sich hier in Fotogrammen zeigt, die Renate Heyne und Floris Neusüss seit dem Jahr 2000 in zahlreichen Museen und in anderen Situationen angefertigt haben. - Leibniz' Lager is a game of ideas in which it is imagined that Leibniz did in fact realize his life-long dream of establishing a "Theater of Nature and Art," as he called it, and had begun to collect natura) objects and artifacts that would serve to convey visual knowledge about all aspects of nature and civilization. This collection of objects, archived in a storehouse, would then have been augmented right up until the present day. The anal arrangement of the objects in the store-house certainly conformed to the traditional canon of Nature Ancient Greek and Roman Sculpture Art Machines, but this might not always have been observed as years went by and some items of the collection may simply have been deposited anywhere or in some other asso-ciative arrangement or context, often resulting in many a curious combination. This book takes the reader an a tour of this fictitious storehouse, the contents of which are visualized in the form of photograms created by Renate Heyne and Floris Neusüss in numerous museums and other situations since the year 2000. Renate Heyne und Floris Neusüss wagen das Gedankenspiel, Leibniz habe seinen Traum von einer Sammlung mit Objekten und Artefakten verwirklichen können und begonnen, alles in einem Lager zu archivieren. Leibniz? Lager besteht allerdings nicht aus einer Sammlung manifester Objekte. Die Künstler haben ein 'Theater der Natur und Kunst' in Form von Fotogrammen, von Lichtabdrücken, von "wahren Bildern" erschaffen, sind durch die Sammlungen von 15 Museen gereist und haben die Bestände aus Natur, Antike, Wissenschaft und Kunst im wahren Sinne des Wortes abgelichtet. Denn Fotogramme sind die Resultate eines direkten Abbildverfahrens, bei dem durch die Einwirkung von gerichtetem Licht auf fotosensibles Trägermaterial unmittelbare Abbilder entstehen.
