Among the King's favourite dishes were roast beef, force-meat balls, finely minced meat, minced veal cutlets with mushrooms or potato purée (food soft in consistency because of his bad teeth), omelettes, plovers' and seagulls' eggs with fresh butter - although he only ate the yokes.
