He later served as the Braves' manager from 1951 to 1952, compiling a 61-69 record. Warren Spahn (1921 - 2003) was an American left-handed pitcher who played 21 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), primarily with the Boston and Milwaukee Braves. He holds the MLB record for most career wins by a left-handed pitcher, with 363 victories, and is fifth on the all-time wins list. Spahn achieved 20 or more wins in 13 seasons, the most by any left-hander in MLB history. He was a 17-time All-Star and won the Cy Young Award in 1957.
