Titling and previous owner's name in gilt on two black leather labels to spine. Folio hardcover. 144 black and white or sepia-toned plates. A very good book with chipping and rubbing to spine labels and boards very lightly rubbed. Slight age toning to edges of end- and title pages. Two of the original paper covers - those for the first and third quarters - are bound in, with pencil addendums indicating the presence of the contents of quarters two and four made to them. The plates have been hand-numbered in pencil. The bottom right corner of the third quarter cover has been chipped. This book was once owned by Allen W. Jackson, a Bostonian architect and author of "The Half-Timber House" (1912), and as such has his name plate to the spine and his signature on the top edge of the front free endpaper.
