Laid in is an effusive 3-page (double-sided) handwritten letter, from Harriet to Jean Penland, with the original envelope. The letter discusses art and some personal matters. The recipient, Jean Penland, was an Asheville, NC-based artist, poet, and printmaker. An appealing copy of this excellent reference work on Lewis.
