The booklet ends with a list of patrons of Hurcomb's auction business. The prefatory letter is written by Hurcomb and dated March, 1928 and the remaining sections of the booklet are written by an unnamed editor. Back panel lightly soiled, front panel has ink blot in upper right corner that does not obscure text or picture.

It was particularly rich in longcase grandfather clocks, with a good selection of bracket and lantern clocks, all purely English designs.This is a catalogue of these clocks from the Wetherfield Collection, sold at auction by W. E. Hurcomb on 1st May, 1928 for £30,000. It has become a pictorial record for clock collectors wishing to date their own English clocks. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, sound, with rubbing to the extremities and spine causing small tears and a little loss to cloth. Light soiling to the cloth, heavier to the rear, with a damp stain. A little fading to spine. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright, with a tide mark to the lower page, heavier to the rear of the work. The odd additional handling mark to pages.
