Octavo hardcover - lots of annotation in ink to fep (VG); all our specials have minimal description to keep listing them viable. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples. Ordering more than one book keeps postage costs down.

Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. Hardback, NOT ex-library. Decorative yellow boards generally spotted and marked to all faces. Edges scuffed. Corners worn. Both inner hinges cracked and with cords exposed. Binding a little loose and currently holding. Neat, small owner's name to ffep. Periodic marks, including fingermarks to text. No juvenile colouring or similar. Nine colour and fourteen B&W illustrations, as called for. A fantasy story with nods towards Carroll, Barrie etc, and is rather jingoistic. Originally published before the First World War and was frequently performed as a play, this edition (based on styling, paper quality etc) is undated but is assumed to be a 1920's publication and as such, is estimated at 1925. Graded as no better than 'fair' based on cover and hinges conditions. Further details available on request. (Ua5).
