Although at first glance this looks like a 1st edition, this book is actually an early reprint - it is actually slightly smaller in size than the 1st edition and came out shortly after the 1st edition - but I think it is the slightly smaller early reprint (I dont have a 1st to compare it with) ; the 2 are so similar it is hard to tell - but this is slightly smaller than my coppy of Alison's Cliff adventure so I will presume it is a reprint; it still has the 4 plates and the pale blue board covers - lovely and clean; it is in the same design, blue based dustwrapper; Vg/vg-; there is no handwriting - names etc. Ther eis a prize sticker dated 1958; Inside; the dustwrapper is not price clipped (8/6) same as 1st edition; slight wear to bottom spine; light marking to rear; vg/vg; generally a very nice copy of a book that is difficult to find in decent condition; ; Alison.
