Prima edizione Copia autografata
First edition of this children's classic. Octavo, original illustrated boards. Illustrated by Nick Harris. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the half-title page, "with greetings to Eileen - Philip Pullman." In fine condition. Pullman originally wrote The Firework-Maker's Daughter as a school play, and the short story was in turn adapted into an opera with music by David Bruce and a libretto by Glyn Maxwell. The novella was first published in the United Kingdom with illustrations by Nick Harris, and subsequently in the United States with illustrations by S. Saelig Gallagher.
