Here is another of the grouping of good books from the Heritage Press. It is titled: The Literary Works of Abraham Lincoln selected with an Introduction by Carl Van Doren and with Illustrations by John Steuart Curry. This medium-sized hard cover book (7 ¼ x 10 ½ inches 295 pages) was published by the Heritage Press of New York dated 1942. This book is bound in black patterned boards with an embossed image of Lincoln at this desk on the cover and gilt titles on the spine; it is contained in a sturdy cardboard slipcase. The Sandglass Newsletter Number VII: 24 is laid-in. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The slipcase has a band of fading from the sun around it but is otherwise in very good and sturdy condition. The hard covers are clean and bright although the spine is sunned. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are bright and clean throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
