Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. Bound in quarter black rubbed morocco over marbled boards with gilt titles. With 166 pages of text that shows some scattered foxing. From the collection of Henry Vignaud with his bookplate affixed. A well known US Consul in Paris for 34 years who was a scholar and collector of historic explorations and discoveries. Vignaud built a fine 50,000 library of Americana and gained an international reputation as an historian for his work on Columbus. An additional bookplate was removed at some point and an old receipt is laid in.
