Ephemera. Farley was one of the first Irish Catholic politicians to reach prominence on the national stage. He was the campaign manager for Roosevelt's 1932 and 1936 presidential campaigns. This letter was written when he served as the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. One typed page, 11 x 8.5 inches, folded for mailing, on Democratic National Committee letterhead, dated March 30th, 1933, responding to a request to consider an individual for a Executive Branch appointment. Small closed tears at folds. Glue marks on verso, letter removed from an album. Tanning to edges.
