Logier hatte die Methode des gemeinsamen Klavierunterrichtes, das Unisonospiel auf mehreren Klavieren begonnen. Das Verfahren erregte allgemeines Aufsehen und fand große Anerkennung. Er entwickelte daraus einen Gruppenunterricht, der vielfach heute noch nach seinen Prinzipien praktiziert wird. Auf Veranlassung Zelters lud ihn die preußische Regierung nach Berlin ein, um dort zu unterrichten und sein System in Preußen bekannt zu machen.
