Aggiungi al carrelloSoft cover. Condizione: Poor. J(ohn). R(andolph) BRAY (illustratore). 1st Edition. pp: [62]. One of a series of books by Towne featuring the Teddy Bears. Towne was associated with 'Judge Magazine' of the late nineteenth, and early twentieth centuries. It was this magazine that held the copyright to the series. Reilly & Britton obtained their permission to published this volume. This may explain the unusual, longer format, compared to other 'Teddy Bear' books. This book consists of 29 pages, each with 6 colour cartoon panels. Each page has a different theme. It is obvious in the photos that the condition is poor. The front cover is in two pieces and has been attached using old style white tape. The tape may be old enough to remove without damage. The bottom corner of the front cover is missing. The blue cloth on the spine is worn, and has pealed back at the base. The blue rear cover has water damage along the base, and has a tear that has also been repaired with the same white tape. And, there is the expected soiling and wear, not uncommon in a children's book that is well over a hundred years old. Having said that, it is an uncommon (even rare) book in any condition.
