Wanneer aan het eind de molenaarszoon dankzij de listen van de kat als markies van Karabas met de koningsdochter mag trouwen, krijgt de arme bloed spijt van wat volgens het burgerlijk wetboek en de christelijke katechismus feitelijjk toch frauduleus bedrog is.
