First published in 1814, this work is very scarce in all editions.Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece and three further engraved plates. Collated…, complete.An Anglican volume on divine providence and instances of God making Himself known to His creatures.Published in the civil parish of Burslem, Stoke on Trent, in the early 19th century by the author, who was a major figure in the book trade of the region, and provided printing and binding services. He printed about eighty-one books and pamphlets, many of a religious nature between 1796 and his death in 1821. In a full calf binding, with gilt detailing to back strip. Minor loss to back strip head, otherwise externally excellent. Joints starting, with rear board slightly tender, and front board somewhat weakly held. Front free endpaper, frontispiece, and title page detached and loosely inserted, otherwise firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned due to paper type, with instances of spotting and handling marks throughout. Good Only. Not Stated (illustratore). book.
