Lawrence, Kay Boyle, Henry Miller, and other avant-garde Eurpopean writers of pre-war Europe. Handsomely bound in grey cloth boards,stamped with red lettering. 2 owner signatures are present, otherwise as new.

A number of the new series contributors are listed under pseudonymns.Mark Phillips makes an effective case for "Giles Weaver" being J. D. Salinger.
