Eine erste Einführung in die Kupferstecherkunst erhielt er von einem dilettierenden Mönch Dom Robart. Später dann war Daullé Schüler von Robert Hecquet in Paris. Seine früheste Arbeit ist ein Porträtstich nach de Troy von 1732. Mit einem Porträt der Catherine Mignard von 1735 erlangte er die Aufmerksamkeit von Hyacinthe Rigaud und wurde von diesem beschäftigt.
