En feuilles, sous couverture rempliée crème imprimée en rouge sur le premier plat. Quelques rousseurs diffuses dans la marge de quelques feuillets. Belle impression sur beau papier de cuve épais. Le texte est imprimé en caractères italiques dans un encadrement doré (portique). Tirage confidentiel à 55 exemplaires seulement sur papier d'Arches. Celui-ci, un des 20 exemplaires sur Archesl, avec en plus non annoncé pour ce papier un dessin original ayant servi à l'illustration du livre. Exemplaire numéroté typographiquement "N°9". La vieille courtisane qui est en tous points remarquable, est à rapprocher des folastreries ronsardiennes. Ce texte a paru pour la première fois en 1558 dans un recueil intitulé Divers jeux rustiques. C'est l'autobiographie d'une courtisane romaine qui après avoir été belle et riche dans sa jeunesse, devient sur le tard éperdument amoureuse d'un homme qui la ruinera. Le tirage confidentiel à 55 exemplaires font de ce livre un des très beaux livres de la période d'après guerre. La qualité de l'ensemble (tirage, papier, typographie) est remarquable. Le style adopté par Maurice LHoir n'est pas sans rappeler celui des anciens faiseurs de vitraux et l'imagerie naïve des premiers graveurs sur bois. Pour avoir pu comparer plusieurs exemplaires de ce même livre, le coloris est à chaque fois unique, même si un modèle de coloris a été utilisé pour chaque exemplaire, certaines couleurs (posées au pochoir au pinceau) ont éte changées d'un exemplaire à l'autre. Très bon exemplaire de ce livre au tirage confidentiel avec un dessin original de l'artiste. Maurice L'HOIR (illustratore). Signé par l'auteur.

En feuilles, sous couverture rempliée crème imprimée en rouge sur le premier plat. Quelques rousseurs dans la marge des quelques feuillets. Légères auréoles claires dans le pa…pier des premiers feuillets (blanc et faux-titre). Belle impression sur beau papier de cuve épais. Le texte est imprimé en caractères italiques dans un encadrement doré (portique). Tirage confidentiel à 55 exemplaires seulement sur papier d'Arches. Celui-ci, un des 5 exemplaires de collaborateurs avec dédicace, offert par l'artiste à une amie (non numéroté). Envoi autographe sur la faux-titre. La vieille courtisane est en tous points remarquable, qu'il faut rapprocher des folastreries ronsardiennes, a paru pour la première fois en 1558 dans un recueil intitulé Divers jeux rustiques. C'est l'autobiographie d'une courtisane romaine qui après avoir été belle et riche dans sa jeunesse, devient sur le tard éperdument amoureuse d'un homme qui la ruinera. Le tirage confidentiel à 55 exemplaires font de ce beau livre un des beaux livres de la période d'après guerre. La qualité de l'ensemble (tirage, papier, typographie) est remarquable. Le style adopté par Maurice LHoir n'est pas sans rappeler celui des anciens faiseurs de vitraux et l'imagerie naïve des premiers graveurs sur bois. Très bon exemplaire. Signé par l'auteur.
